How to be a Yank

Schutzumschlag zerknittert und abgestoßen. Auf dem Klappentext vorne innen Flecke und am Buchschnitt auf der Seite und oben fleckig. Das Buch hat halt schon einige Jährchen auf dem Buckel (hab's vor -zig Jahren in London gekauft), aber ich hab mich bisher nicht trennen können davon, denn George Mikes Humor finde ich einfach köstlich:)))

This second Mikes Minibus is composed of "How to Scrape Skies", "Wisdom for Others" and "Shakespeare and Myself". The first of these was George Mike's second book, and his wife's idea. No one knew at that stage that his first book, "How to be an Alien", was going to continue to sell for what appears to be for ever, but it was obvious from the start that it was a success. When Mr Mikes heard that members of his family, from all of whomhe had been separated for the Duration of the Second World War, were about to re-unite in the USA, he was eager to join them but was not sure that he could afford it. "Why not go to America and write a sort of "How to be an Alien" about it?" said his wife. So he did.
