TURBULENCE DESCRIBES HIMSELF with words like positive, determined, brave, kind and generous, a real Rasta. Turbulence, like most artistes, can recall his school days, catching practice to desktop beats behind the auditorium. Growing up, Turbulence says he was inspired by the voices of Bob Marley, Garnet Silk, Peter Tosh. Eddie Fitzroy and Jacob Miller. The name Turbulence was given to the singjay by an elder Rastaman who saw him 'mash up' a show under the name 'Double Trouble'. The singjay said the elder advised him to change his name to 'Turbulence' because of his performance on the show. It was advise that the singjay apparently took. Turbulence's first recording, titled Think of Peace, was done in 1999 for producer Philip 'Fattis' Burrell on his X-Terminator label. Since that he has worked with many labels, both locally and internationally.
